Llinars del Vallès is part of the Viles Florides movement, an initiative promoted by the Confederation of Ornamental Horticulture of Catalonia (CHOC) that is committed to transforming towns and cities in Catalonia and Andorra through the care of green spaces, gardening and the urban landscape. The project highlights values such as environmental protection, the quality of life of citizens, the maintenance of public spaces, environmental education and the promotion of urban greenery as a tourist and economic resource.
Since 2015, Llinars has participated in this recognition every year and has achieved the highest distinction: the four Flowers of Honor. This award accredits the collective effort of the municipality to conserve, beautify and make accessible natural and landscaped spaces. The result is visible in streets, squares and parks, but also in the presence of green facilities and family areas that are harmoniously integrated into the urban fabric.
