This itinerary proposes a walk through the historic center of Llinars del Vallès, designed to discover two of the main heritage landmarks of the municipality in a few minutes.
Church of Santa Maria del Prat
Parish church with Romanesque origins (11th century), renovated in the 17th and 18th centuries in a marked Baroque style. It stands out for its bell tower with Romanesque elements and its main altarpiece, which includes an image of the Virgin Mary made by Frederic Marès.
Traditional farmhouse in the old town converted into a cultural and educational center. Former retirement home, today it hosts ongoing training and cultural activities, connecting the rural past with current community life.
Modernist tower built in 1906, linked to Antoni Gaudí and Francesc Berenguer. Emblematic for its circular shape and trencadís dome, it was demolished in 1962 and is a great loss to Llinars’ heritage.
Renaissance palace from the 15th century located in a public park within the urban core. It is one of the most representative buildings in the municipality. You can visit it from the outside and observe its imposing structure.
A 19th-century stately tower linked to bourgeois summer residences and cultural patronage. It has been a school, library and cultural centre, and today it is a rehabilitated municipal facility serving the public.
Cultural facility located in Can Marquès, an old farmhouse renovated by Álvaro Siza. It offers musical training for all ages and a stable program of concerts and activities that promote the cultural life of the municipality.
